The new Z 7, a mirrorless camera equipped with a newly designed and innovative mount system, experience incredible images like never before. Enter a world of bold creative possibilities and optical performance. FX-format mirrorless camera — fully exploits the unprecedented optical performance offered by the new NIKKOR Z lenses and delivers overwhelming edge-to-edge detail in both stills and videos. In addition, its wide, 493-point hybrid AF system with superb focusing accuracy and the new EXPEED 6 image-processing engine contribute to achieving sharper images than ever. The 3690k-dot Quad-VGA electronic viewfinder provides a clear view and an amazingly comfortable shooting experience.10-bit N-Log as well as 4K UHD and 8K time-lapse movie, it meets the needs of demanding video creators too. Condensing all of this power into a compact yet robust body, the Z 7 promises to take you to a new world of truly amazing images. The full-frame CMOS sensor in the Z7 sounds very similar to the one in the Nikon D850 DSLR.
The LCD screen’s 2.1million dots also deliver a nice, crisp view of the scene, and the touch functionality has been well implemented on the Z7. The screen responds to light touches without any issue, and swiping through captured images only requires gentle swipes. There’s also very little lag as you move around the image to check focus. Overall, there’s little to fault here, although you can occasionally attract the attention of the viewfinder’s eye sensor when using the touchscreen and temporarily interrupt its display.
